Built nearly 1300 years ago, the Katori Shrine in Kameido has a long rich history. Visiting the shrine was known for being good luck in battles, but in modern times is now good luck in sports and competition. Samurai commanders, such as Tokugawa Ieyasu, often visited the shrine. The shrine also honors the area's unique produce, Kameido Daikon radish with a large daikon-shaped monument. The shrine has a lovely wisteria garden, which is in full bloom in the end of April until first week of May. If you have a sports competition coming up, or would like good luck in your sports training, stop by Katori Shrine and you might win!
